What a long day. The plan was for Aaron to pick me up @ 4:15am and head off. After 2 hours sleep, I was not ready to go, but thats what life is like in missions. We arrived in San Ysidro where we met Pastor Agustin, and started unloadin some of the truck contents into his vehicle, and some into a storage unit, so it can be brought across the border safely without dealing with the athorities. A miracle happened when we got to the border. We got the red light, and the bell went off. Normally when the bell goes, all of the athorities look for whoever got the red light, and make sure that they are taken to customs. We thought we were done for, and gonna lose all that we were bringin, and possibly pay some huge fine. The light went red, the bell rang, and not a single policeman turned his head, they were all lookin the other direction, so we debated for a few seconds, and finally just decided the Lord gave us the opportunity, and we took off, not one person looked our way, like we were invisible. Praise the Lord. The last time we were caught, they tried to impound the truck, and charge us like $3000.00, but the Lord got that taken care of with only $150.00 fine and some delay time. We headed upto the church, where everyone was waiting for us, unloaded what we did bring across, and headed off for Rosarito. Aaron & I had to stop for some tacos, what else is new, and we finally arrived at the beach. It was another long walk in, but we got there. The Slovakian group was also there again, and they pretty much had all the tables and the tent setup. When everyone finally arrived, the baptism began. I believe 7 people ended up getting baptised, all in white. That was neat to see them all in white. It was a very emotional time for those getting baptised, and their families. After the baptism, they started cookin fish & carne asada, smelled great. After the meal, it was time for Aaron & I to head out. I was ready for the sack, but Aaron was longing for some more Sheep Tacos, so we drove to Ensenada and had some. When trying to leave, the truck wouldnt start. After messing around with it for a while, I brought out old faithful, the hammer. Aaron pounded on the starter, and I turned the key, after prayin, and wah lah, it fired right up. Now for the long trek home. The border line was short, but very slow. We made it through no problems, along with our usual Churros & Boliz. Finally back to the desert, about midnight, made for one very long day, but well worth it to see some of our brothers & sisters growin in the Lord. Time for some good sleep for a long day.
