This was a great three day trip just south of Ensenada, Mexico. It was also a very trying time. We stopped in to see the jobsite we would be working at tomorrow, check out the construction needs, and started our VBS. We had a great day ministering to the kids. We arrived tired and dirty just after dark on Friday, to find the missionary home we were staying at lost electricity just a few hours prior to our arrival. This meant showers, and dinner were out. We unloaded our luggage with flashlights, then went to town for some tacos. When we woke up in the morning, still no electricity, but we had a quicky breakfast and off to the jobsite. We had a foundation to pour, some other construction, and a lot of VBS work to do, and also deliver some food from Gleaners. We spent the whole day doing songs, stories, performances, etc. to entertain the kids and teach them about Jesus, even through arts & crafts. It was a very long day, but we did some great work there, and they got the construction needs completed also. They had me cook up some hamburgers. Hope they were ok, I wouldn't eat any. I dont cook, so I was a little scared of how they might taste. Sunday morning we got up and drove down to La Bufadora to do some very very expensive shopping. On the way back out of town to head home, we stopped to meet our contact in Mexico, David, to deliver some supplies we brought for him. We headed home for our all day event. Traffic was backed up just outside of Ensenada to the border, and our bus broke down, lost electricity. After finally getting that going, we were on our way, extremely slow. We hoped to get home before 6pm that night, didn't arrive till around 2am. It was trying, but God got us through it.
