Aaron & myself drove down to Tijuana for a Christmas party at a new ministry we are supporting. The church is called Shalom. Currently, Pastor Agustin from Templo Casa de Oracion is teaching on Sundays. When we arrived, Pastor gathered all the kids outside to break two pinatas. The kids had a blast, and were very well controlled. We then went back into the church. Everyone there, adults and kids, were members of the church. Some of the lady's of the church cooked up a great meal. We also had Abuelita cocoa and orchata. It was very tasty. Following the dinner, Christian, Pastor's oldest son in charge of children's ministry, prepared a kids pageant. Several kids got onto the stage, all with a letter card. Translated, the letters spelled out Jesus was born in Bethlehem. As each kid showed their letter, they had a few lines to say. After the pageant, all the kids sat down and some of the church elders gave each child a package with their name on it. The kids each got a brand new pair of shoes. The kids were thrilled and very blessed as most kids have old and used shoes. We were fed desert afterwards before everyone went home. Overall, it was great being able to go and visit with a ministry that we support and see them growing and blessing each other.
