What a long day. The plan was for Aaron to pick me up @ 3:45am and head off. After we finished loading everything, hit the 7-11 for some morning snack, we were off. Shortly after we got to Hemet, a Ford Focus in front of us veared off the road, went into a ditch, and flipped end for end and slid upside down in a ditch for a couple hundred feet. We immediately pulled over and helped the couple out of the car, and awaited for the authorities who did there job, took our statements, and let us go. Praise the Lord both of the couple were able to get out of the car with no bruises or anything, both very traumatized. This set us back a short while, but glad we could help them out and pray for them. We finally made it to Pastor Agustin's house and we headed out with the bus from there. The bus drove quite slow, so we took off and jetted off. We stopped in the morning for some Lengua & Cabesa Tacos. They were quite good, however Cheke got sick after eating one. Then we treked off agin. Aaron got lost twice in Ensendada, which is not uncommon. Finally we made it San Telmo around 11am, way late. We broke out the ice chest and Aaron cooked us some weird chicken stuff. It was horrible, I didn't like it at all. We had Checke, Pastor Agustin's youngest son with us, and after Aaron asked him how he liked it, he responded by saying, we should sue the company who made this. He's a cute little kid. Finally the first group of Russian's arrived. They broke out the guitar, sang some worship songs in Spanish, and taught a messages. The 1st van of the 2nd group of Russians arrived, along with the bus from Agustin's church. The first group of Russian's got upset that some of the women were wearing pants, not dresses, and they left for some reason, very legalistic group. Thats ok, because there were many more people still on their way. Those left did some games, and song & dance for the kids and had them participate, meanwhile some of the group went to start cooking. Eventually all of the kids got moved to the church where they started a VBS type program, ministering to the kids. Finally the 2nd half of the Russians arrived, and broke out the marching band, who didn't march, just stayed still. They played some music in spanish for quite some time. Then the locals were moved into the church, were a couple different messages were given by various people. When asked who needed prayer, about 98% of the church came forward, it was an amazing time of prayer. After this, they gave many Bible's away, then sent everyone out to get in line for dinner. Birria it is, and was it ever excellent. After this, everyone headed out to go home, and we all practically dropped dead. Time for some good sleep for a long day.
