Doctrine/Beliefs Bible - We believe the Bible is the only divinely inspired, Word of God, 100% accurate from beginning to end, inerrant in the original writings, both Old and New Testaments. We accept the Bible as the supreme and final authority for faith and life. - We believe the Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. Trinity - We believe there is only one true and Living God, who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and we can know each person of the Trinity in a personal way. God - We believe God the Father, is an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, widsom, power, and love; who is filled with love and mercy for all; who hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. - We believe that God created and governs all things: the heavenly places, the angelic hosts, the earth, and every living creature. Jesus - We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to the virgin Mary. As God in a human body, fully God and fully man, He lived a sinless life, worked miracles, and died on a cross to pay for the sins of every person. He rose bodily from the grave after 3 days, and appeared to over 500 people during a period of 40 days before ascending back to Heaven. In the future, He will come back to the earth to rule in power and glory. - We believe Jesus Christ is the only mediator between sinful man and a holy God, a substitutionary sacrifice according to the Scriptures, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. Holy Spirit - We believe God the Holy Spirit, was sent to comfort and indwell believers. He empowers all true believers to become witnesses for Jesus Christ. He shows us we need Jesus, and when we call on Him, He makes us new, teaches, guides, comforts, protects, encourages, and enables us to live Godly lives. - We believe that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is available to all believers as a separate and distinct experience from the New Birth. Believers should earnestly seek this promise according to the command of the Lord Jesus Christ so that they may be empowered and gifted for the work of the ministry. - We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life; we further believe His power and gifts are available to believers today. - We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers and equips believers for service, with the accompanying supernatural gifts of the Spirit, and provides us with His power to use the gifts we have been given to help and encourage others. People - We believe that God created man good and upright, in His own image, to have fellowship with Him, but that the entire human race, by voluntary transgression, fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, and is separated from God because of our sins. God loves us so much that He provided the only way for man to be reconciled to Him. As was prophesied throughout the Old Testament of the Bible, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to redeem us. - We believe that all who repent of their sin and receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, and are born again of the Holy Spirit, thereby become children of God. This is the only way to come into a relationship with God, and to be saved from eternal judgment for our sin. - We believe that by His death, burial, and resurrection, we are immediately forgiven, saved, justified, and destined to spend eternity with the Lord. - We believe in the resurrection of both the just and the unjust, the reality of heaven for those who have received Christ, and the eternal banishment of hell for those who have rejected salvation. Else - We believe worship of God should be a spiritual experience and be both intelligent and fruitful. - We believe that our faith should lead us to win people to Jesus - We Believe that love is the greatest virtue and demonstrates the reality of Jesus Christ in our lives, so we endeavor to show God's love to everyone. - We believe that the only true basis for Christian fellowship is His agape love, which is greater than any diffence we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians - We believe that the marks of a maturing church are Faith, Hope, and Love - We believe that Satan, created as an angelic being, led a rebellion against God. He was cast out of God's presence and took a host of fallen angels with him. Satan and his demonic hosts have been granted access to God's Creation through the fall of man, but believers have authority over Satan through Jesus Christ. - We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ established two ordinances–Baptism in water and the Lord’s Supper–to be observed as acts of obedience and as perpetual witnesses to the cardinal facts of the Christian faith; that Baptism is the immersion of the believer as a confession of identification with Christ in burial and resurrection and that the Lord’s Supper is the partaking of the emblems symbolic of the Savior’s body and shed blood, in remembrance of His sacrificial death, till He comes. We do not believe that either of these practices is essential for salvation, but that they serve as a demonstration of our living faith in Christ.
